ATV Safety Course

This program provides a safe, structured introduction to ATV riding with an emphasis on responsibility, confidence, and proper technique.

We encourage adult participants to bring their own ATVs. We do have 90cc youth ATVs available onsite, but these are designed for riders ages 10–12. The only adult-sized ATV available onsite is the instructor’s model, so adults who wish to ride must bring their own ATVs. If you plan to bring an ATV, please let us know in advance.

The course is taught by licensed ATV Safety Institute (ASI) instructors and includes two required components:

  • A 2-hour online e-Course completed prior to arrival, covering safety awareness, protective gear, riding strategies, environmental responsibility, and applicable laws.
  • A 2–2.5 hour hands-on riding course conducted onsite, where participants practice essential riding skills in a controlled environment.

During the hands-on session, students will work on starting and stopping, turning, negotiating hills, emergency stopping and swerving, and riding over obstacles, with a strong focus on safety throughout each lesson.

Important Details:

  • Youth participants must be between 10 and 12 years old.
  • Campers must complete the online safety course before arrival: (Will be sent out with arrival email)
  • A printed or digital certificate of completion is required for participation.
  • Required gear: long pants, gloves, and boots.
  • Helmets with face shields are recommended; participants may bring their own, and helmets will also be available to borrow.

This course is a great opportunity for families to learn and practice ATV riding skills together in a safe and supportive environment. Please reach out if you have any questions.
