We offer environmental education programs for students (K-12) throughout South Carolina at our Wildlife Education Center. Camp Leopold hosts on-site Single Day, 2-Day Overnight or 3-Day Overnight programming. Classes and activities are interactive and designed to cover a wide range of environmental topics which meet state and national

There are opportunities for the cost of students to be covered by our corporate sponsors or SCWA chapters. Reach out to our Camp Leopold Director to inquire about scholarships.

Fall 2025 Camp Leopold Onsites: 

The maximum capacity has been raised to 80 students per trip. This means the ratio of chaperones to students (for single days is 1 to 15 students) for multi day trips it is 1 to 10 students. 

Dates to register for the fall are September 2nd- November 20th, 2025.

Spring 2026 Camp Leopold Onsites: 

The maximum capacity will return to 40 students per trip. This means the ratio of chaperones to students (for single days is 1 to 15 students) for multi day trips it is 1 to 10 students. 

Dates to register for the spring are February 2nd- April 24th, 2025.

Session Rates

1-day session | $60 per student, $30 per chaperone, school staff are ALWAYS free!

  • 3-4 classes and lunch

2-day sessions | $130 per student, $65 per chaperone, school staff are ALWAYS free!

  • 9-11 classes, lodging, 4 meals, 1 snack

3-day sessions | $200 per student, $100 per chaperone, school staff are ALWAYS free!

  • 12-14 classes, lodging, 7 meals, 2 snacks, and a FREE T-shirt

Camp Leopold Facilities

Camp Leopold is based near Pinewood, SC at the Wildlife Education Center (WEC). Our 1,350-acre facilities consist of forests, ponds, wetlands, prairies, and agricultural lands. Accommodating groups of up to 40 students. In addition to rich flora and fauna, the WEC offers a 4,000 square-foot pavilion, a basketball court, a GaGa Ball pit, multiple docks, a sand volleyball court, ropes course / team challenge course, and an open soccer field. Lunch is provided and is served in the 300 person Boyd Dining Hall. 

The Camp Director will send you an email stating which cabin you will be in during your stay.

Brown Lodge

Brown Lodge has 8 rooms with 10 mattresses (5 bunk beds) in each room. There are accordion doors for every pair of rooms with the ability to make 4 “Mega” rooms.

Cypress Lodge

Cypress Lodge has 8 rooms with 8 mattresses (4 bunk beds) in each room. There are accordion doors for every pair of rooms with the ability to make 4 “Mega” rooms.

Boyd Lodge has 10 rooms with 10 mattresses (5 bunk beds) in each room. There are accordion doors for every pair of rooms with the ability to make 5 “Mega” rooms.
