Empowering Minds and Inspiring Futures!
Jami was born in Sumter, South Carolina, and grew up in Edgefield before moving to Chesterfield in high school to be closer to family. Coming from a family deeply rooted in hunting, fishing, and shooting sports, she developed a strong appreciation for the outdoors from an early age. While pursuing a degree in Secondary Social Studies at Anderson University, Jami discovered a deep passion for education and the rich history of South Carolina. She spent two summers as a shooting instructor at Camp Woodie, and her journey with the South Carolina Waterfowl Association began after college when she participated in a Heritage Boyd Duck Hunt with her sister. Now, as the Camp Leopold Director, Jami combines her love for conservation, the outdoors, and education to inspire students across the state.
