Hey Kids!
What if I told you that there is a summer camp out there that can make you a better outdoorsman than anyone you know? Are you a pretty good wing shot? Have you ever been camping by a stream and cooked your own wild game over crackling embers? Have you ever filled a stringer full of fish so tight the stringer will hardly bend?
Do you know how to flip out duck decoys the right way so ducks will cup their wings in midair and sail down to you? Have you ever won a duck calling contest? These activities are just a tiny part of what you can experience at Camp Woodie. Ask Mom or Dad to sign you up and come and learn how to be a part of the wild outdoors.

The South Carolina Waterfowl Association is a non-profit organization committed to passing on the legacy of our waterfowl heritage. This is accomplished through youth education programs at Camp Woodie, habitat enhancement projects, a mallard restoration and release program, and a wood duck production and wetland management project.
Executive Director and Camp Woodie founder, David Wielicki believes, "Passing on our waterfowl legacy to young people is a critical part of achieving SCWA’s mission to conserve, enhance and perpetuate our waterfowl heritage.".
MISSION OF CAMP WOODIE
Camp Woodie is the nation’s leading summer waterfowl and wildlife conservation camp. Camp Woodie exists to educate our youth and pass on our waterfowl heritage and the values of wildlife conservation. It is achieving its mission with the help of expert instructors that deliver hands-on fun filled education programs to our next generation of young waterfowl hunters and conservationists.
SUCCESS OF CAMP WOODIE
Camp Woodie started out with one cabin that housed 32 campers, a 5-stand sporting clays range, and five 3-D archery targets. Now the camp has a 48-bed bunkhouse and a 24-bed cabin for 72 campers per week.
The increasing number of campers enjoy many activities such as the new and improved walk-through sporting clays course, in addition to the 5-stand, a wetland trail, a rifle range, and an archery shed with over 30 targets. Camp Woodie also has a 25’x 50’ swimming pool.
